Part 1: WHAT IS HAPPENING?
It was such a normal day. I woke up late as usual, rushed down to the street to get a cab to office and still arrived at office late ... as usual. Actually, it was a bit worse than normal: i was wearing sth not very nice, hadnt straightened my hair, hadnt put on makeup....not very well-dressed and confident. But it's okie, it's Fri, last day in the week.
Today we rearranged office, so everyone had to pack their stuff into boxes. Gonna be a busy day but at least, everyone must be out by 6pm..no staying till 9 or 10pm. Happy.9.00 AM
D and L passed by my desk, smiling mysteriously:- Hey Jane, why u havent packed? It's gonna be a very busy day, so u'd better pack soon huh
- Hey guys, i can pack very fast, dont worry. I dont have that much stuff- But Jane, better listen to us. U gonna be veryy busy. Btw, such a beautiful day today, wishing i was in Bali or...maybe Krabi. Must be great huh" L contemplated.
I looked at these 2 naughty boys, and looked out the window- Yeah, weather is nice. U may want to go somewhere during weekend, L. But L, i thought u r just back from Bali, arent u?
- Well, yeah... But Krabi must be verry goooddd . Lying on the beach, suntanning... wow... i wish...Oh man, i want to chase these guys away. Suddently they asked me to pack early and suddently they discussed about Bali, Krabi. They actutally kept repeating this kind of conversation for 2 days already. What are they trying to tell me? Hummm.
9.30 AM:I was in B's office, updating him on some of the meetings. Nothing unusual.
9. 45 AM:F passed by, smiling happily
- How r u, Jane?
- Well, good. I will come to ur office later to discuss some issues, okie?- Sure. See u.
So everything is as normal.10.00 AM:
Damned busy with all the calls and emails.10.15 AM:
Honie called:- Em ah, xuong an sang voi anh ko?
- Hah, an sang gi bay gio anh. Em dang ban lam. Em ko xuong duoc dau.- Nhung anh da den day roi, duoi chan office em day nay.
- ....- Xuong di em, 10' thoi.
- Uh, cho em chut nhe, em gui not cai mail roi em xuongOh man (again), why suddently he came down to office? Well, he came down serveral times already but always informed me. Hummmm.
10.30 AM :I told D that I went downstairs for 15 mins. He smiled mysteriously:
-Well Jane, take ur time. U can go down as long as u want- No, i would be back soon. Got so many things today.
10.35 AM .From the elevator, I can see Lam standing down there, big surprised that he was wearing so formally.
- Anh di phong van day ah. An mac lich su the.- Ko, uhhhhumm....
And suddently I saw his suitcase:- Hah? Sao anh mang theo valy to the. Anh di dau ah? Sao lai co valy.
- Di, em di voi anh.- Di dau?
- Ra san bay.- Hah? Sao ra san bay? Sao lai co valy? Chuyen gi the.
- Hii, bay gio em di ra san bay voi anh. Minh di nghi? holiday.- R u kidding me? Em dang lam viec tren office ma. Di dau. Anh co sao ko vay.
- Em ah, em on leave hom nay. Boss em biet, Leonard, Dominic cung biet.- Hah? (U must be joking). Em dang di lam binh thuong co ma. Nghi cai gi ma nghi. Sao boss em biet? Sao 2 thang kia biet. Em chang hieu chuyen gi dang xay ra . ( And I touched his forehead, to make sure that his temprature is okie, not too high 
)
OH MY GOD! What is going on, I didn’t really know at that time. Suddently I recalled all the mysterious smiles and conversations that L and D have been given to me in the last 2 days. They seemed to know sth. Ppl seemed to know sth that I don’t,
I told Lam to wait for me there. I went back to office to ask L and D. D was waiting for me at my desk:
- Who did u see downstairs, Jane? He laughed.- OMG, it’s Lam and he told me that we are going on holiday and that I am on leave today. Is that rite? What is going on, D?
- Well, Jane. Yes, you are on leave today. Don’t worry, B knows, F knows. It’s kinda an arrangement. See, I have told you to pack earlier. Now you have to go to the airport. Leave everything here then, I will pack for you.- R u kidding? How come B and F know?
- You can check with them if you want.- Okie, lets go to their offices.
We are at F's office. F laughed out loud:-Jane, go for holiday. U r on leave today. Go, enjoy urself . Don’t have to worry. D will be the back-up for you today.
Hah? I cant believe what I heard. I came to B’s office, our big big boss:- B, do u know I’m on leave today?
- Well, I don’t know, u ask ur boss (F).- F says I’m on leave. But I have no idea that I am.
- If F says it’s okie then it is okie, rite?. Go. Don’t worry. Enjoy huh.OMG. are these my bosses, who often look like a tiger to me
? I quickly grabbed some of my stuff, briefed D on some of the issues and left office. Lam was waiting downstairs for nearly 45 mins.And then we rushed to the airport. We were going to KRABI… as Lam told me on the way. I had no idea what was really happening at that time. I just GO.
